Liz Wilkes at Beautiful Beginnings, offers independent antenatal classes. A full set of antenatal classes covers similar topics to hospital classes but can be conducted in a timeframe to suit the couple. Other courses include an active births focus, classes and support for woman wanting a vaginal birth after c/s. Short courses or refresher classes can be tailored to suit couples needs.
Currently the full sets of classes are conducted on a as needs basis and tend to run either in the evenings or over weekends although daytime classes can be arranged. Health funds rebates available. Information packs can be posted out on request.
In addition to regular antenatal classes Beautiful Beginnings offers a weekly relaxation class for pregnant women which includes some education and relaxation for birth. These classes can be commenced at any time and are on a drop in basis (ie you do not have to complete any particular number of classes).
