CPEA MEMBER BENEFITS
1. Attendance to 21 Mums, Bubs and Toddler Coffee Mornings
The CPEA Mums, Bubs and Toddler Coffee Mornings are organised by volunteer Mums with young children and provide a relaxed and informal environment where mothers can improve their parenting knowledge, feel comfortable to share their experiences, have their questions answered and meet new friends.
Each morning features a guest speaker with a topic of interest to help improve your parenting, pregnancy or childbirth knowledge. Following each speaker, we enjoy morning tea and the opportunity to meet and chat with other parents in a friendly environment. Local and out of town Mums (and Dads) with children under five and pregnant women are very welcome.
2. Six Issues of the CPEA Magazine “Family Matters”
Family Matters is delivered directly to
your door every two months and includes:
- pregnancy diaries and birth stories from
local mothers,
- book reviews,
- articles written by midwives, and
- articles about parenting by local
professionals.
3. Use of CPEA’s Book. Video and Magazine Library
CPEA’s Library offers over 250 book and video titles, as well as back-dated issues of the popular publication, “Parenting Magazine”. Our Library is user friendly and a fast and efficient way to borrow reading and visual materials on birth and parenting topics. Out of town members are entitled to receive three items by mail a year free.
4. Directory of services in Toowoomba for prospective parents and parents of children under five
5. The opportunity to become further involved with the CPEA
You can become further involved in the CPEA by joining the Committee or by volunteering on a casual basis. Committee meetings are held once a month and all CPEA members are welcome to attend. Please indicate on your application form if you would like to learn more about getting involved.
6. Email an independent midwife (for members who live outside toowoomba)
Out of town CPEA members have the opportunity to ask an independent midwife and CPEA’s childbirth expert questions about pregnancy and childbirth via email.
7. Free Entry into our popular Nearly New Sales held twice a year
CPEA holds a Nearly New Sale in March and September every year. The Nearly New Sales provide parents in the Toowoomba region with the opportunity to buy and sell quality second hand clothes, toys and nursery equipment.
